DanScatt Annual Meeting
Every year, the DanScatt community gathers for two days of science, networking, and collaboration.
The Annual Meeting features a dynamic program of scientific talks, a poster session, and numerous opportunities to connect with colleagues and explore new ideas.
A highlight of the event is the presentation of awards:
-
The DanScatt PhD Prize, sponsored by Xnovo Technology, honors outstanding doctoral research in X-ray and neutron science. At the 2025 meeting, PhD student Jia Guo from Aalborg University received the prize for his thesis on lithium-ion battery aging, utilizing synchrotron techniques at BESSY II and DESY.
-
Alongside this, the Poster Award recognizes exceptional visual and research contributions. In 2025, PhD student Tinatin Tkesheliadze fra University of Copenhagen was awarded Best Poster for her work on phosphate recovery from arsenic-laden sludge.
In addition, the participants can sign up for workshops organized as satellite events preceding the annual meetings.
In 2025, the Annual Meeting included the XFEL Workshop on 26–27 May at University of Southern Denmark which featured invited talks and poster discussions on XFEL science.
