ESRF - European synchrotron Radiation Facility

Welcome to DanScatt

DanScatt supports Danish researchers by funding travel to accelerator-based large-scale research facilities — such as synchrotron light sources, neutron sources, and free-electron X-ray lasers (XFEL).

Whether you are a long-time member or new to DanScatt, we encourage you to spend a few minutes on our homepage to explore our strategy and rules - or check out upcoming community events or workshops.

FAQ

DanScatt is an instrument center for the Danish users of synchrotron- and neutron-sources as well as free-electron X-ray lasers.
We provide funding for travels to experiments and offers guidance to new users.
Moreover we support the Danish memberships in ESS, E-XFEL, ESRF and ILL, as well as strategic collaborations with PSI and MAX IV.

Financially, DanScatt is supported by the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education.

DanScatt currently serves more than 500 users and continues to expand.

To support this development, we have introduced a structure that organizes users into Administrative Units. Each unit has a designated head who is responsible for managing its grant.

At Danish universities, these units usually align with departments. For instance, the Department of Chemistry at UCPH forms an Administrative Unit within DanScatt.

To find your Administrative Unit, please go to Contact. If you cannot identify with any of the units, please reach out to DanScatt Administrator Antonia Celinah Majlund Bjørstorp to ask about creating a new unit.

If you have a question that is not covered in our FAQ or on the homepage, please contact us.
