XFEL Workshop 2026
X‑ray free‑electron lasers: Perspectives and Opportunities for Science
The 2026 XFEL Workshop is the sixth in the series (Copenhagen 2021 and 2022, Aalborg 2023, Aarhus 2024, Odense 2025). The aim is to bring together the Danish XFEL user community and representatives from XFEL facilities to share experiences, explore new opportunities, and develop ideas for research using the ultrabright and ultrashort x-ray flashes provided by these exciting new x-ray sources.
This workshop gathered both experimental and theoretical researchers working across XFEL‑related fields. It took place May 18–19, 2026, at the University of Copenhagen, as a satellite meeting to the main DanScatt Annual Meeting.
The sessions featured presentations from invited speakers followed by discussion and a poster session where all participants – including students and postdocs – were encouraged to bring a poster. The XFEL workshop is an opportunity to present your ideas and discuss with other experts.
